Mark Hamill Shares Moving Tribute to Carrie Fisher On Anniversary of Her Death

Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars films has shared a moving tribute to his former colleague and long-time friend on the first anniversary of her untimely passing.

Hamill and Fisher starred alongside each other in the original 3 Star Wars films and were recently reunited on screen in the latest instalment of the Star Wars series. The two actors reprised their roles as Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker.

A year on from her year on from her tragic death, Mark Hamill has remembered the actress in a post on his Instagram account.

In a collage of Photos, Hamill posts a picture of himself with Fisher from the mid 1980s alongside a more recent image, taken around the time of the release of The Force Awakens.

In December 2017, he had said that he was still struggling to process her death.

It’s so hard for me to think of her in the past tense because she is so alive in my mind.

She’s irreplaceable and we all loved her and it was impossible not to have fun when you were around Carrie.
