When Cara Delevingne decided to appear on Good Day Sacramento she probably wasn’t prepared for what was to follow.
There to promote her role as Margo in Paper Towns, she was instead told to “go and take a nap” and “maybe get a Red Bull?” before the painful interview was cut short.
In case you haven’t seen the interview it’s detailed below alongside some of the best responses to hit the world of social media.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, many people have thrown their support to the Brit star, but not everyone. The former model has also had her say…
Some people just don't understand sarcasm or the British sense of humour

Why was the interview so bad?
The hosts of the US morning show didn’t get off to the best of starts, calling her ‘Carla’ before then going on to accuse the model-turned-actor of being “tired”, “irritated” and “in a mood”.
It’s safe to say that the hosts didn’t get the sarcasm and humour in Delevingne’s answers, which only made for further awkward (but of course very entertaining) viewing.
After saying that she had “winged it” when asked if she had read the script, she then revealed her admiration for the novel’s author John Green.
One anchor then quizzed what she liked about her character, but failed to grasp the joke response of “No, I actually hate her”.
Another anchor eventually jumped in but only to tell Miss Delevingne that she wasn’t excited enough. “Are you exhausted?” he asked, clearly shocking her.
Despite explaining that the premiere was the night before and that “I’m not any less excited that u was a couple of weeks ago”, the barrage of questioning continued.
“You do seem a bit irritated. Perhaps it’s just us,” said one host, only for Delevigne to quip “Yes, perhaps it is just you”.
“We’ll let you go then, how ’bout that? added the anchor. “Why don’t you take a little nap, maybe get a Red Bull?”
A clearly disgruntled Delevingne could then be heard muttering “too far” before the interview was taken off air. That didn’t stop the three hosts though, with one saying “Wow! She was in a mood!”
Another added: “You make $5 million for six weeks of work, you can pretend to talk to ‘Good Day Sacramento’ with some ‘oomph’!”
The best responses
I think @Caradelevingne held back, can't stand these overly enthusiastic American daytime tv hosts, remind me of excitable dogs.

If I were, @Caradelevingne I would have been even more savage than she was after being called the wrong name.

Cara Delevingne's reaction to the interview by the pretentious 'good day sacramento' anchors is brilliant.

That Cara Delevingne interview isn't "awkward." "Awkward" is a guy asking Mila Kunis about chicken. Cara's interviewers were flat-out rude.

Of course the interview has divided opinion across the world, but it seems unlikely that Cara Delevingne will be invited back on to Good Morning Sacramento anytime soon.
Something tells us that it probably won’t bother her too much though…
